(Re)insurers stepping up insurtech investments as PE and venture funds retreat

(Re)insurers are emerging as the dominant investors in insurtechs having made more private technology investments in 2025 than in any other year on record, Gallagher Re said on Thursday in its latest quarterly Global InsurTech Report.
