Marsh names Sathe Bluestream and US affinity leader
Marsh has appointed Anita Sathe as global leader of Bluestream, its cloud-based digital broker platform for the affinity market, and head of the broker’s US affinity business.

Sathe joins Marsh from insurance price comparison firm CoverHound, where she was most recently chief strategy officer.
Prior, Sathe held various senior roles at Deloitte Consulting and co-founded CyberPolicy, a digital cyber insurance quote platform for small businesses.
In her new role, based in Portland, Oregon, Sathe will report to Kevin Tobin, president of Marsh’s insurance services group.
She will take responsibility for driving affinity and sponsored programs in the US and accelerating the growth and development of Marsh’s Bluestream platform around the world.
Tobin said: “Marsh continues to invest in the best capabilities and people to serve our affinity clients worldwide. With Anita’s experience, we will deliver industry-leading affinity solutions to the market, leveraging the latest advancements in technology.”
Sathe’s appointment comes just over a year after the launch of Bluestream, which was designed to help Marsh’s affinity clients offer insurance products and services to their customers, contractors, and employees digitally.
At the time of launch, Bluestream fell under the remit of John Drzik, president – global risk & digital at Marsh, who last month announced his plans to step back from his full-time role as of 1 January 2020.
In the new year, he will become a senior advisor to John Doyle, president and CEO of Marsh, and the Marsh executive committee on strategic risk and digital issues.
At the time, Drzik said the Bluestream platform is “particularly relevant for global clients in digitally advanced sectors as well as digital native organizations like sharing economy companies.”
