Banyan Risk names insurance veteran Sheekey as CFO

Bermuda-based MGA Banyan Risk has appointed Brian Sheekey as chief financial officer, the company said on Thursday.

Sheekey brings more than 40 years of finance leadership in the insurance industry. He was most recently CFO at Arden Insurance Services and has held senior positions at GeoVera Holdings and KPMG.

"His experience supporting carrier and managing general underwriter strategies will be a valuable asset as Banyan continues to grow and evolve," the company said.

Banyan Risk most recently appointed Mark Peeters as managing director and named Jamie Powell chief commercial officer.
