S&P panel: Insurers’ adoption of gen AI will take “many years”

Algorithmic and predictive AI has led to much greater precision around underwriting and claims, but the benefits of the newer generative AI will take many years to be fully realised, a panel at S&P Global Ratings’ 40th Annual Insurance Conference suggested.
