Florida market scrambles as 27 carriers get Demotech downgrade notices

As many as 27 Florida homeowners carriers, including several larger players, have been told by Demotech they are in line to be downgraded next Tuesday (26 July) from A (Exceptional) to S (Substantial), or in a small number of cases to M (Moderate), The Insurer understands.
