CinFin P&C UW gain almost triples in Q4 to $252mn in big earnings beat

Cincinnati Financial (CinFin)’s P&C underwriting income nearly tripled in the fourth quarter, as cat losses fell by 85 percent to $20mn and the underlying loss ratio improved by 340 basis points, while earned premiums grew by 10 percent to nearly $2bn.
