Amphitrite bolsters marine war offering with Thompson hire

Marine MGA Amphitrite ​Underwriting has appointed ‌Jack Thompson as a war underwriter, the ​company said on ​Monday.

The MGA said the ⁠appointment would support ​the development of ​its war offering, with Thompson to be based in ​London and ​report to Amphitrite's marine war ‌head, ⁠Ben Jones.

Thompson has joined from his role as an underwriter ​at ​mutual ⁠insurance club UK War Risks, ​which followed a ​stint ⁠at Markel.

His appointment comes after Kane Bryant's ⁠exit ​earlier this ​month to join Pen Underwriting ​as a war underwriter.
