Burns & Wilcox launches new ProConstruct program
Burns & Wilcox has launched a new Lloyd’s-backed professional liability program for contractors and designers, The Insurer has learned.
The new program, called ProConstruct, provides contractors, engineers and design professionals in the construction and manufacturing industries with what Burns & Wilcox said is “comprehensive” and “customised” coverage for their exposures.
Under the new terms of the offering, the program can provide primary limits of up to $5mn, and excess limits of $3mn.
ProConstruct’s risk appetite is for, among others, design and engineering professionals; design build firms; general, specialty and artisan contractors; and construction management firms.
The new program offers contract review services, while also ensuring contractors are not held liable for project delays that arise from external factors, such as pandemics or natural disasters.
