US mutuals grew NPW modestly in 2020 despite Covid-related refunds
Net premiums written (NPW) for AM Best-rated US mutuals inched up 1.4 percent to $273.7bn in 2020 while the group’s $2.3bn underwriting loss was an improvement on the $3.5bn loss they posted in 2019, according to a new report from the ratings agency.
