United Fire posts 124% Q3 CR while its reinsurers take $68mn of derecho losses
United Fire has reported catastrophes added 21.4 points to its third-quarter combined ratio of 124.4 percent, with the Iowa-based insurer also reporting $68.0mn of reinsurance recoveries from the Midwest derecho.
