UK insurers back Solvency II overhaul but call for more action on “regressive” premium tax

The UK (re)insurance sector has thrown its support behind chancellor Jeremy Hunt after the government announced long-awaited reforms to the Solvency II regime and a freeze on the controversial tax on policyholder premiums.
