A coalition of some of England’s biggest football clubs is suing six insurers – Allianz, Aviva, CNA, Liberty Mutual, MS Amlin and Zurich – in yet another major 2022 Covid-19 business interruption (BI) dispute that could ultimately cost the industry hundreds of millions of pounds if its defence proves leaky.
