Ohio supreme court rules ransomware attack did not cause direct physical loss

The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled a ransomware attack on EMOI Services caused no “direct physical loss of or damage to” its software and so Owners Insurance Co is not responsible for covering the resulting loss, reversing the decision of the lower court.
