NERA: 2022 SCA filings fall to lowest level since 2009
The number of new US federal securities class action suits fell for the fourth year in a row in 2022, with the 205 cases down from 210 in 2021 and a recent peak of 431 in 2018, according to NERA Economic Consulting, although the average settlement value was significantly up.
