Munich Re confirms €1.6bn Ian loss and retains FY profit guidance of €3.3bn
A €1.6bn claims bill from Hurricane Ian pushed Munich Re’s P&C Reinsurance unit to a loss of €343mn for the third quarter of 2022, with the segment reporting a combined ratio of 108.2 percent for the three-month period.
