Mapfre CR rises above 100% but headline earnings beat consensus
Mapfre’s headline earnings of €241mn ($276mn) for the fourth quarter of 2021 came in 18 percent ahead of analyst consensus, but masked a deterioration in underlying underwriting performance which saw the group’s combined ratio rise to 100.1 percent for the three-month period.
