Kinsale promotions continue with Secor named commercial property lead

E&S underwriter Kinsale Capital Group has continued its recent spree of executive appointments by promoting Jamie Secor to division manager, commercial property.

Secor was most recently a Kinsale executive underwriter before her promotion to the newly-created role.

She has been at the Richmond, Virginia-based insurer since 2010, holding several underwriting positions of increasing responsibility.

Secor previously held roles at CapSpecialty, James River Insurance Company and Virginia Farm Bureau.

Kinsale also promoted a number of senior vice presidents to executive vice president last week.

The new executive vice presidents were: Brian Haney, who has also been chief operating officer since March 2015; Bryan Petrucelli, who has been chief financial officer and treasurer since December 2015; and Ann Marie Marson, who has been chief claims officer since 2009.

In addition, Patrick Dalton was named senior vice president, casualty. Dalton was previously a vice president.

Kinsale grew its gross written premium 41.4 percent in 2019 as a result of soaring submissions and hardening prices.
