Kemper’s share price plunges over 12% after much larger than expected Q4 loss

Investors have responded to Kemper’s large fourth-quarter earnings miss by sending its shares down over 12 percent in Tuesday morning trading, although a JMP Securities analyst has expressed a “high degree of confidence” in management’s ability to guide the auto-focused insurer through a more volatile post-pandemic period for the industry.
