JMP’s Carletti: Investors to focus on pricing cycle during Q1
JMP analyst Matthew Carletti said the first-quarter results season that gets underway for carriers next week will “likely paint a complex picture” with severe catastrophe losses from US winter storm activity and mark-to-market losses on the back of rising interest rates both negatively impacting book value and earnings per share growth.
