James River casualty re LPT or commutation would make KBW more “comfortable”

Following James River suspending casualty reinsurance underwriting, Keefe Bruyette & Woods equity analyst Meyer Shields has stated he would feel more comfortable about the segment’s reserves if it agreed another loss portfolio transfer (LPT) or a commutation.
