Insurers urge chancellor to freeze premium tax in autumn budget

British insurers have urged Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt against a feared hike in taxes applied to premiums and paid for by policyholders as the UK government looks for ways to bolster its finances and support economic recovery.
