HCI Group’s acquisition of all United Insurance Group’s (UPC) personal lines business in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island “will provide a jumpstart” to its insurtech platform TypTap’s ambitions of expanding beyond its home state of Florida and across the US.
