Hartford demands Boy Scouts be bound by their agreement as judge nears settlement ruling

Insurers have voiced strong opposition to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA)’s $850mn proposed settlement of sexual abuse claims during a hearing ahead of a bankruptcy judge deciding whether or not to approve the deal, including The Hartford arguing that a $650mn settlement of its claims agreed in April is binding.
