Gracechurch survey reveals London’s leading aviation broker

Willis Towers Watson (WTW)’s Martin Collins has been voted the leading aviation broker in the Gracechurch London’s Leading Brokers 2021 survey.

Collins, an executive director in WTW’s aviation practice, topped the annual ranking ahead of Paul Coombes and Marcio Rosset, ranked second and third respectively.

Coombes is a partner in Gallagher’s aviation practice, having joined from JLT Specialty two years ago.

Rosset is divisional director for aviation at Howden Specialty, having joined the group (then branded as Hyperion) from Marsh last year.

Marsh’s Simon Davies and Gallagher’s Andy Duncan round out the top five in this year’s aviation broker ranking.

The Gracechurch London’s Leading Brokers 2021 ranking is based on data collected between 

December 2020 and February 2021 through confidential online interviews.

Nominations were received from 254 senior underwriters operating in the London market covering a representative cross-section of business classes and carriers, with participating underwriters representing 46 separate insurance carriers. More than 600 broker nominations were received in total. 

As revealed on Monday, Paragon’s Lyndsey Bauer has been voted the top cyber broker in the latest survey with Lockton’s Mark Higgins voted London’s leading casualty broker.

And yesterday we reported Willis Re’s Graeme Moore had topped the reinsurance category, holding off the challenge of Guy Carpenter duo Tim Martin and David Finlay.
