Germania FSR downgraded to B by AM Best after losses cut surplus in half
Weeks after putting a pause on new P&C business, Germania Farm Mutual Association has had its A- financial strength rating cut by several notches to B, with AM Best citing “significant” erosion in the insurer’s policyholder surplus after sizeable underwriting losses in the second quarter.
