Gallagher Re: Relationships strained in late and challenging 1.1 renewal

Several long-term relationships have been strained in a very late 1 January renewal marked by “tense negotiation tactics”, with bigger-than-expected price corrections on loss-affected cat programs in Europe, but improved terms for reinsurance buyers on non-cat quota shares, according to Gallagher Re.
