Property reinsurer appetite for supporting US regional carriers remains healthy overall despite record levels of severe convective storm (SCS) loss events this year, but there is growing skepticism about providing frequency cover, with a focus instead on occurrence excess of loss (XoL) programs, according to a new Gallagher Re study.
