French government doubles April’s tax bill to over Eur40mn

Paris-listed insurer April has added a tax charge of Eur21.1mn to its 2019 accounts, in addition to the previously booked Eur20mn, following concerns around the jurisdiction of its Malta-based subsidiary’s reinsurance business.
