Florida overtakes California as largest surplus lines state in Q1
Surplus lines premium volume in California fell by 0.1 percent in Q1 2024, while growth in Florida’s market meant the Sunshine State overtook its west coast counterpart to become the largest state for E&S business during the three-month stretch.
