The past 18 months have seen an unprecedented shift in the industry’s attitudes towards ESG concerns, with carriers rethinking business models and underwriting and investment priorities as they recognise the need to embrace change.
We have been documenting these changes as they happen through our sister publication, ESG Insurer, and next week will recognise those who have served as industry leaders during this period of change at the inaugural ESG Insurer Awards.
The awards are the culmination of a major online survey of the international P&C marketplace examining attitudes and progress towards ESG. These survey submissions, alongside public disclosures on ESG, have formed the basis to determine the winners at the ESG Insurer Awards.
Economist, broadcaster and journalist Tim Harford is the after-dinner speaker for the event.
Harford is a presenter of BBC Radio’s “How to Vaccinate The World”, “More or Less” and “Fifty Things That Made the Modern Economy”, and a senior columnist at the Financial Times.
In the New Year Honours of 2019, he was made an OBE for services to improving economic understanding.
The event takes place at London’s The HAC next Tuesday, 12 July, and there is still time to attend – contact Spencer Halladey (spencer.halladey@wbmediagroup.com) or Andy Stone (andy.stone@wbmediagroup.com) for more details.
We look forward to seeing you there.
