Enstar falls to $493mn Q2 loss as investment hit outpaces rise in run-off earnings

Bermuda-based Enstar Group fell to a $493mn net loss in the second quarter – a swing from a profit of $378mn in Q2 2021 – as the run-off specialist was impacted by unrealised investment losses driven by rising interest rates and market volatility amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
