December wildfires and tornadoes contribute to 9.4 pts increase in Progressive CR
US personal lines giant Progressive reported a 9.4 percentage point increase in its combined ratio to 94.6 percent in December, and a 6.3 point increase to 94.7 percent for the fourth quarter as its property division was impacted by the huge Midwest tornado system and the Colorado wildfires.
