DE Shaw almost doubles limit on Citizens traditional placement as collateralised writers dominate
Collateralised writers Nephila and DE Shaw were once again the leading participants with a combined 62 percent share on Citizens’ traditional reinsurance placement, which at $1.25bn of limit was only at around 36 percent of target as the state-backed Florida carrier faced significant rate increases.
