Cat-focused reinsurance stocks avoid traditional pre-hurricane season trading dip

The annual first-quarter decline in catastrophe-exposed reinsurance stocks failed to materialise ahead of the 2021 hurricane season, according to JMP Securities analyst Matthew Carletti, with valuations buoyed by hopes of a post-pandemic economic recovery and continued market hardening.
