CA’s Lara flags wildfire as potential proximate cause for mudslides in Hilary wake
California insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara has told insureds he has already alerted insurance companies that they must cover mudslide or other damage in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Hilary where the proximate cause is one of the recent wildfires to hit the state.
