Canadian carriers face C$152mn cat hit from December storms

Canadian insurers are facing losses of over C$152mn ($122mn) from the storm that tore across the country’s eastern region in mid-December, according to an initial estimate from Perils-subsidiary Catastrophe Indices and Quantification Inc (CatIQ).
