California FAIR Plan policies increased 26% in 2020 to record high

The number of California homeowners non-renewed by insurers fell by 10 percent statewide in 2020 compared to the previous year while the number of consumers forced to obtain a policy from the FAIR Plan increased 26 percent, according to a new California Department of Insurance (CDI) report.
