Berkshire’s NICO sues reinsurers over $157mn Montana asbestos settlement
National Indemnity Company (NICO) has sued multiple reinsurers for coverage of a $157mn asbestos settlement the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary made with the state of Montana, with TIG Insurance, Randall & Quilter and Travelers billed for the highest reinsurance amounts.
