Berkshire Hathaway to acquire Alleghany in $11.6bn deal

Berkshire Hathaway has agreed to acquire Alleghany, parent company of TransRe, RSUI and CapSpecialty, in a deal which values the NYSE-listed carrier at $11.6bn.
