Worman joins from Ace/Chubb Westchester Property, where he was a senior vice president.

He has also worked at Berkshire Hathaway, having started his career at Travelers Insurance.

In his new role at Axis, he will work as regional manager for the West Coast.

Malcolm joins from Ethos, where he served as senior vice president for property. He has also held positions at Ironshore Insurance and Max Specialty.

At Axis, he will take on the role of regional manager in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Finch will take on the role of vice president in Alpharetta after joining from Ethos. Previously, she worked as vice president at Liberty International and Swiss Re.

Michael Carr, head of E&S property for Axis Insurance, said Worman, Malcolm and Finch “have extensive expertise and knowledge in the E&S property market”.

“Their combined experience, along with their ability to cultivate strong broker relationships, will enable us to further expand the business within their local areas,” Carr added.

The latest appointments at Axis Insurance follow the hiring of four senior underwriters within its US E&S property team in December last year.

Carey Prewitt, Quinn McAleenan and Bryan Paterson all joined the Bermudian carrier as vice presidents, while Naomi Wiggins joined as assistant vice president.

The hires come after carriers and brokers reported continued strong momentum of new players joining the E&S segment.

Earlier this year, Axis Capital president and CEO Albert Benchimol said E&S property rate increases were at 21 percent in the first quarter, as it reported overall average rate increases of 17 percent in its US division in Q4.
