American National’s ratings remain under review following Brookfield acquisition
American National’s financial strength rating of A has been placed under review with developing implications by AM Best after Brookfield Asset Management Reinsurance Partners entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire the Texas-based insurer in an all-cash transaction valued at $5.1bn.
