American Financial to free up to $400mn in capital with annuities deal
American Financial Group has agreed a block reinsurance agreement with Global Atlantic for a $5.7bn annuities book that will free up between $375mn and $400mn of capital it said could be deployed to opportunities to grow organically and expand its specialty P&C business through M&A and start-ups.
