AFG’s record specialty P&C UW profit fuels comfortable Q2 earnings beat
American Financial Group (AFG) posted a record-breaking specialty property and casualty (P&C) insurance underwriting profit of $197mn in Q2 2022 which fuelled a 19 percent increase in core net operating earnings in results that comfortably beat analysts’ consensus estimate.
