AFG beats in Q4 as operating earnings fall 38% and P&C CR climbs 5.7 pts
American Financial Group (AFG) closed Q4 2022 with core net operating earnings that fell $96mn year on year to $255mn and a P&C combined ratio that increased 5.7 points to 86.5 percent, with results that were comfortably ahead of analysts’ consensus.
