Another surprise in a year of surprises

With multiple sources polled by this publication yesterday settling on a loss range for the deadly US tornadoes from the low single-digit billions of dollars to somewhere near the record Tuscaloosa loss of $7.3bn, Karen Clark & Company’s preliminary estimate of $3bn is at the lower end of expectations.
