American Financial Group to pay $240mn to buy AIG’s Crop Risk Services unit

American Financial Group (AFG) has agreed a deal to buy general agent Crop Risk Services (CRS) from AIG for $240mn in cash in a move that will expand its existing agricultural business to become the fifth largest crop writer in the US.
