Bain Capital emerges as frontrunner for UK insurer LV=

British insurer LV= has confirmed it is in exclusive takeover talks with US private equity firm Bain Capital over a deal that could value the company at more than £500mn ($648mn) and provide a payout for the mutual’s 1.1 million members.
