Applied’s CIC files fresh lawsuit against California regulator

California Insurance Company has sued the California Department of Insurance alleging vindictive actions to block its redomestication, with the lawsuit coming after New Mexico’s insurance regulator ordered the Applied Underwriters subsidiary to comply with regulations required under its approved move to the state.
