Moody’s: Big four European reinsurers see earnings fall 15% in 2022
The four largest European reinsurers – Munich Re, Swiss Re, Hannover Re and Scor – reported a 15 percent decline in their combined earnings in 2022 compared with 2021, according to Moody’s Investor Service, which highlighted the impact of elevated natural catastrophe losses and subdued investment returns on results.
