UPC estimates gross Hurricane Ian losses of $1bn
United Insurance Holdings (UPC) has estimated its gross estimated loss from Hurricane Ian will be around $1bn, with its net exposure to the storm standing at some $36.4mn before income taxes, and the vast majority of the loss ceded to reinsurers.
